Abstract: According to the basic theroy of fluid dynamics and expermental data the formulae are derived with the methods of dimensional analysis and momentum principle. By using above formulae the backwater for equal - interval and unequal - interval submerged dikes can be obtain. The results of the computation show good agreement with the measured values in the flume.
