Preliminary exploration on application of surge shaft in water supply projects

  • 摘要: 厦门供水工程输水高压管道总长39.5km,沿线地形复杂,管道起伏频繁。当泵组运行失电时,为防止负压对管道的破坏,在管道首都设置了调压井。计算表明,调压井可有效地防止负压产生,只要水泵出口阀采用缓慢关闭方式,管道将不会产生较大的正水锤,也不会引起水泵反转速飞逸破坏。

     

    Abstract: The high pressure conveyance system of Xiamen water supply project has a total length of 39. 5km, along the way, the pipes pass through a varied topography, rise and fall repeatedly. When the pump sets lose electricity during operation, for the sake of preventing pipe failure by negative pressure, installed a surge shaft at the head of the pipe line. Computed results revealed that the surge shaft can prevent occurrence of negative pressure effectively provided that adopt slowly closing pattern of the valve at pump outlet,larger positive water hammer will not take place in the pipe line, also will not result in runaway damage by reversed rotational speed.
