Wind wave spectrum estimation by the Maximum Entropy Method

  • 摘要: 本文根据太湖风浪观测资料,进行了最大熵法风浪谱估计和传统谱估计方法的分析比较,讨论了最大熵法的原理。结果表明,最大熵法优于传统方法,最大熵法避免了一些不切实际的假设,不需要使用窗函数,减少了谱泄漏,提高了谱估计精度,即使对较短的序列,也能得到较好的谱估计结果,为风浪谱估计提供了一种有效的方法。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, based on the field data of wind wave in Tai Lake, power spectrum estimated by the Maximum Entropy Method(MEM) is compared with that estimated by using conventional methods. The results show that, the MEM is superior to the conventional methods of spectral estimation. The spectrum estimation by MEM avoids the shortcomings of using the window function and unrealistic assumptions, so that the spectral leakage is decreased and the accuracy of the spectral estimation is increased. It has better resolution and gives more realistic power estimates, especially for short data records. A new spectrum analytical technique for the time series data of wind wave is proposed.
