Abstract: Statistic prediction models of settlement for earth rock dams are briefly summarized. Comparison of some simple curve models shows that S type growth curve accords well with the settlement of earth rock dams and has good prediction results. Then, a statistic prediction model of settlement for concrete face rockfill dams (CFRD) is developed considering construction characteristics of CFRD, rise and drop rate of water level, and coupling influences of various kinds of factors. Comparison shows that the model fits well with high precision.
