Detection of hidden defects of underwater projects by the ground penetrating radar

摘要: 介绍了探地雷达的工作原理。应用探地雷达检测广东省积美拦河闸坝水下工程隐患的结果表明，该技术可有效地检测闸坝上工程中的混凝土板塌陷、破损、基础淘空以及冲刷坑等隐患。

Abstract: The working mechanism of the ground penetrating radar (GPR) is presented. The hidden defects detecting results of Jimei Barrage, Guangdong Province, by use of the GPR technique show that the technique can effectively detect hidden defects of underwater projects, such as collapse, break of a concrete plate, caves in foundation and scouring pits.
