Discussions about settlement problems of highway foundation-Research results of Kunshan trial embankment of Shanghai-Nanjing expressway

Based on the strengthening test of soft foundation on trial embankment of highway,some problems of foundation settlement are discussed. From the basic characteristics of soil and .at various stress level, method of settlement computation is proposed. Finally,field test data approved the feasibility of the computation and analyses.
