Abstract:
Based on the principle of calculating pipe networks in hydraulics the model test on electric resistance networks is compiled by a computer program which can be used to solve not only the groundwater seepage problems more accurate and fast but also the discharge distribution problems of pipe networks in city water supply. As an example for each type of problems has been computed by this program and the results of which are in conformity with that of model test on networks. With the method of an equivalent area element to simulate the resistor value of rectangular meshes in resistance networks we extend it to triangular networks and then easily apply to any irregular networks. As a consequence the seepage problem in rock fractures can be solved by this program and some calculating examples of 2-D with regular fractures and 3-D with irregular fractures in rock masses are given.
