Abstract:
ased on a practical sediment design for the Wuluwati reservoir located on the Karakashi River, comparison is made for the sedimentation rates of the reservoir derived from the hydrodynamic model of sedimentation and the classic delta balance model according to the multi-purpose that the reservoir undertakes.This paper.also provides the operating rule for the reservoir related to sediment flush and the design data for sluiceway structures. Finally, the conclusion is made that the Wuluwati reservoir is capable of maintaining its active storage for a long period of time, which can be applied to sediment design for other rivers with similar features.
