Abstract:
The turbulence model for dense solid-liquid mixture now is presented.In this model,the stresses for this mixture flow are analysed in detail, including particle impact stress,viscous interactive stress on particles,turbulent stress and Coulombic friction stress. Based on forces on particles, force equilibrium equation (or Lagrangian motion equation of particles)is obtained. Because of introducing particle impact stress and Coulombic friction stress,this model is more suitable for the nows with high concentration and large size particle than the others. Using this model, dense slurry flows in horizontal pipes are modeled.The numerical predictions show good agreement with the experiments.
