Abstract: The knowledge representation and knowledge base of expert system for the design of lock filling and emptying system are introduced briefly. According to the special features of the design of filling and emptying system, object-oriented knowledge representation is used in this expert system, and it can well represent the design knowledge of filling and emptying system. The content of knowledge base is also determined on the basis of the design process of filling and emptying system.
