Abstract: The stress - strain characteristics of CFRD built on riverbed alluvium are studied and the affecting factors of stress and deformations in the dam are investigated. Analyses of the stress - strain behavior of concrete diaphragm wall and face slab as well as deformation of joints were made emphatically. The research results will be of much benefit to CFRD design on riverbed alluvium.
