Abstract: Based on the scouring position and depth by current in river bend the scope of bank protection and better selection scheme of bank protection are determined. The riprap bank protection with geotextile filter and foreign typical examples are introduced. By analyzing experimental data the calculating formulas for stone size and falling distance of riprap are given.
