Abstract:
The numerical simulation of storm surge current in the Yangtz Estuary is carried out by use of 1 D and 2 D mathematical models, considering the development of regulation works in the deep water channel in the Yangtz Estuary. Calculation results show that the regulation works have no great influences on water increments caused by storm surges. Tide level rises, and tide velocity (flood tide and ebb tide) and the north channel's discharge ratio increase in the water increment period of storm surges.
