Abstract:
The threshold phenomenon of fine sediment under wave action is described based on a flume experiment. The data of the threshold experiment for natural sand and lightweight model sand under regular wave action show that the dry unit weight of natural sand increases with the extension of deposition duration; the threshold wave height and threshold velocity increase with the increase of the dry unit weight of natural sand; and the dry unit weight of the phenolic powder has little influence on the threshold wave height and threshold velocity.
