Abstract: Based on the previous research results of physical model tests and numerical simulation calculation, the general circumstances, obstacles to navigation and regulation works in Wuxue waterway in the middle of the Yangtze River are briefly stated. Influences of regulation works on the Wuxue reach are analyzed from aspects of the river regime, flood control, channel, ecosystem and hydraulic planning and so on.
