Abstract: Manyusha shoal,located in the Kouan straight reach,is a main navigation obstacle in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.Based on the observed hydrologic and topographic data and the deep-draft channel regulation planning,the evolution character of Manyusha shoal in the recent period,the navigation obstacle character and the cause are analyzed in the paper.We conclude that Manyusha shoal and the left and right deep pools produce much scouring-silting change,which is the main cause of the formation of the ...
