Finite element analysis of the influence of support hinges and operating rods on curved sluice gates

  • 摘要: 针对弧形钢闸门有限元结构计算中关于支铰和启闭杆的不同简化处理方式,造成闸门局部构件应力应变结果差异的问题,以贵州乌江某水电站溢流表孔三主横梁斜支臂弧形钢闸门为例,通过建立支铰体系间直接约束、创建柱坐标系、节点耦合和设置接触等4种连接方式,以及启闭杆结构直接约束、梁单元和实体单元等3种建模方式,综合对比了各建模方式对闸门静力计算结果的影响,在此基础上对该弧形钢闸门的静动力特性进行评价。结果表明:在支铰间设置接触连接方式的结果更为合理,建立柱坐标系约束及节点耦合方式的结果也较合理;启闭杆设置摩擦接触方法的位移结果更为合理,完全光滑的刚性域法的位移结果偏大,完全绑定的节点耦合方法的位移结果偏小。该工程表孔弧形闸门强度及刚度均满足规范要求,但各运行条件下闸门低阶振动频率与水流脉动主频较为接近。

     

    Abstract: In the finite element structural calculation of curved steel sluice gates, different simplified treatment methods for support hinges and operating rods lead to discrepancies in the stress and strain results of local components of the gates. Taking the example of the main transverse beam inclined support arm curved steel sluice gates at a hydropower station on the Wujian River in Guizhou, four connection methods between support hinge systems were established, including direct constraints, creation of column coordinate systems, node coupling, and contact setting. Additionally, three modeling methods for the operating rods structure were compared, including direct constraints, beam elements, and solid elements. The comprehensive comparison of the effects of each modeling method on the static calculation results of the gates was conducted, and the static and dynamic characteristics of the curved steel sluice gates were evaluated. The results indicate that setting the contact connection method between support hinges yields more reasonable results, and the results of establishing column coordinate system constraints and node coupling are also reasonable. Regarding the operating rods, the displacement results of setting the frictional contact method are more reasonable, while the displacement results of the completely smooth rigid domain method are slightly larger, and the displacement results of the completely bound node coupling method are slightly smaller. The strength and stiffness of the sluice gates at the engineering table holes meet the specifications, but under various operating conditions, the low-order vibration frequencies of the gates are close to the main frequencies of water flow pulsation.
